NEW IDENITITY

वो उन धागो मे अपना दिल पिरोया करते है। ,

बुनकर सिर्फ कपड़े नहीं उनमे कहानिया बुना करते है।

Handicraft is a living document of the 5000 year old tradition, technology, and artistic brilliance; survived by the rentless hard work of crafts people, over generation. With the taggling of "Enriching lives of artisans"  We work on the creation of an encouraging ecosystem for the crafts with the aim to add value to the progress of artisans- the carriers of these ancient traditions.

By employing a three- pronged strategy of revival, sustenance and sharing. It is tirelessly working since past two decades to provide the artisans a rightful place amidst the socio-economic echelons of society. A forward linkage program of artisanal, is a love- filled initiative to water the roots of tradition, to let it blossom into a gleaming tree.

The trip was truly enriching as I met people from diverse area who was skilled and passionate about their work. In my first trip to Kutch I meet vankar Punam bhai, womens of meghval community, pabi-Ben Rabari and more to connect with Okhla of Rabari community.

Kutch has a rich variety of semi-nomadic pastroal community whose Lifestyle have remained Virtually unchanged for centuries the dress is colorful and ornate and women are often Laden with jewellery. The unique and beautiful mud house have walls decorated with interesting texture patterns.

Gujarat is known as hub of craft and craftsmanship where bhujodi is major textile center in Kutch also called the art village. We entered the village of bhujodi which is located centrally and lies 8 km east of Bhuj.

The arid climate has pushed communities here to evolve an ingenious balance of meeting their needs by converting resources into products for daily living. While embroidery has become a craft synonymous with Kachchh, other textile crafts and hard materials crafts give this land color and identity. Craft is inextricable from the numerous communities, connected by trade, agriculture and pastoralism in Kachchh. Kutch is a treasure trove of hidden gems. Along with the main towns, 969 villages call Kutch their home—each rooted in its unique culture and craft.

Because what you wear should not only look like you.
